Kevin
Briggs is currently the
City Attorney for the
City of Ely. He was
appointed in August,
2007 to that position
after having been a
Deputy District Attorney
for White Pine County
and a Deputy Attorney
General in the Criminal
Division. He received
his J.D. from the
University of Idaho,
College of Law in 1995.
He then spent a year as
a federal law clerk with
the Honorable Roger L.
Hunt in Las Vegas. Since
that time, he has been
very interested in the
judiciary and is excited
to be able to contribute
to the ethic al
administration of
justice.
On the
personal front, he is
married to Cammie and
they are preparing to
celebrate their 31st
anniversary. They have
five children and
fourteen grandchildren.
Kevin is active in the
community, participating
in activities
with his church, the
school district and with
the Boy Scouts of
America.
He was
appointed to the
Standing Committee on
Judicial Ethics by the
State Bar of Nevada in
December 2011. His term
expires December 31,
2013.
