Steve Chappell is the General Manager at the Carson Valley Inn Resort in Minden, Nevada. He has been the general manager for the past six years. He has been employed with Carson Valley for twenty-two years. His previous positions held were bookkeeper, accounting manager and Director of Finance.

Steve sat on the Board of the Douglas County Education Foundation and the Douglas Dolfins Swim Team. He has also served on the Nevada Commission on Judicial Discipline for nine years where he held the position of chairman for two years.

Steve is a lifetime resident of Nevada and has been married to his wife, Sharon Chappell, for twenty-nine years. They have two daughters ages eighteen and fourteen. Sharon is a school teacher in Douglas County.

Steve was appointed to the Standing Committee by Governor Gibbons in January, 2009 and reappointed in 2011. His term expires December 2012.
