ERIC DOBBERSTEIN, Attorney at Law

Eric Dobberstein has been the President/Senior Attorney at Dobberstein & Associates since 1991. He has been a licensed attorney in the state of Nevada specializing in general trial practice consisting of construction, personal injury and commercial issues. The firm also handles issues involving corporations, LCCs and partnerships.

Mr. Dobberstein has been a trial lawyer, Eighth Judicial District Court Pro Tempore Judge for Short Trial Program, Eighth Judicial District Court Mediator and Arbitrator, Neutral for American Arbitration Association as well as the Arbitration Dispute Resolution Services and a Private Mediator and Arbitrator, who has served as arbitrator or mediator in over 300 cases involving construction, personal injury, commercial and real property disputes.

Mr. Dobberstein was admitted to the Bar: Nevada, 1989; U.S. District Court, District of Nevada, 1989; U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth District, 1990; Member of the United States Supreme Court, 2007. He is a member of the Nevada Bar Association (Southern Nevada Disciplinary Committee and Fee Dispute Committee); the American Bar Association, Nevada Justice Association, Clark County Bar Association and a member of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Dobberstein graduated from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas (BA, Criminal Justice-1985); Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Notes Editor of Law Review (JD-1988). He has authored or co-authored many publications and has been a speaker at several seminars.

Mr. Dobberstein was born and raised in Henderson and enjoys sports and travel. He is married and has three children.

Mr. Dobberstein was appointed to the Standing Committee by the State Bar of Nevada in January 2009 and reappointed in 2011.  His term expires December 2012.
