David A. Huff, District Court Judge

Honorable David A. Huff is a District Court Judge of the Third Judicial District Court (Churchill County and Lyon County).  He was born and raised in Iowa.  He received his BA degree from the University of Iowa and his JD from the Iowa College of Law.  Judge Huff was commissioned by the U.S. Navy following law school and served 20 years in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General Corps at various locations, including Viet Nam.  Judge Huff retired from the U.S. Navy and was in a private law practice in Fallon for approximately 10 years.  He is admitted to practice law in Iowa, California and Nevada.  Judge Huff was elected to the bench in 1996 and reelected in 2002. 

Judge Huff was appointed to the Standing Committee by the Nevada Supreme Court in February, 2006; reappointed in 2008 & 2010. His term expires in January, 2012.
