MICHAEL A. PINTAR, Attorney at Law

Michael A. Pintar (Mike) is a third generation Nevadan raised in Carson City.  He graduated from Carson High School in 1979 and from the University of Nevada in 1984 with a B.S. in Accounting.  Following his graduation from Nevada, Mike worked for the Nevada Gaming Control Board and then entered Santa Clara University School of Law in 1986.  Upon graduating from law school in 1989, he clerked for the Honorable Michael E. Fondi (retired) of the First Judicial District Court.  Since completion of his clerkship, Mike has been with the Allison, MacKenzie law firm.  He is presently a shareholder in that firm practicing primarily in the areas of insurance and commercial litigation.

Mike was recently appointed to serve on the Northern Nevada Bar Discipline Committee.  In the past, he has served on the Nevada Medical-Legal Screening Panel.  Currently, he is a member of the Association of Defense Counsel, American Trial Lawyers Association, and Northern Nevada Trial Lawyers Association.

Mike and his wife, Karen Ayarbe, have a son, Michael, and a daughter, Katie.  He is involved in his children's activities and serves as a board member and legal counsel for Washoe Little League.

Mr. Pintar was appointed to the Standing Committee by the State Bar of Nevada in August, 2005 and reappointed in 2007, 2009 and 2011.  His term expires December, 2012.
