DAN R. REASER,

Mr. Reaser is admitted to practice in Nevada and California and before the
Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the
Ninth Circuit and the United States District Court in Nevada. Mr. Reaser
received his B.A. degree in Business Administration and Political Science from
California State University at Fullerton in 1977. He received his J.D. degree
from California Western School of Law in 1980 and while there was the Executive
Editor, California Western School of Law, Law Review, 1979-1980.
Mr. Reaser is a partner in Nevada’s largest private law firm, Lionel Sawyer &
Collins. He counsel and represents clients in a variety of administrative law
and regulatory matters before federal, state and local agencies or public bodies
and the courts judicially reviewing agency and other governmental action. Mr.
Reaser’s practice concentrates on public utilities, gaming applicants and
licensees in Nevada and on Native American lands, as well as banks and other
financial institutions. Mr. Reaser is recognized in Best Lawyers in America
for public utilities law. He is the Vice Chairman of the firm’s
Administrative Law and Gaming Department and Director of the firm’s Regulatory
Practice Group.
Mr. Reaser also serves on the Nevada State Bar Northern Nevada Disciplinary
Board, the Executive Board of the Nevada Area Council of the Boy Scouts of
America and is a Visiting Instructor at the College of Extended Studies,
University of Nevada, Reno.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Reaser served in the Office of the Attorney
General of Nevada for eight years, as Chief Deputy for the Gaming Division
between 1986 and 1990. He also served as Chief Counsel to the Nevada Department
of Transportation and during his tenure as a deputy attorney general, was
counsel to the Nevada Commission on Economic Development, Tourism and
Environmental Protection and the state departments of Agriculture, Corrections,
Minerals and Wildlife.
Mr. Reaser was elected to serve as
Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee in December 2008, effective January 1,
2009. In December of 2009, he was elected to serve as Chairman of the
Standing Committee, effective January 1, 2010.
Mr. Reaser was appointed to the Standing Committee by the State Bar of Nevada
in December 2003; reappointed in 2005 and 2007 & 2009. His current term expires December 2011.
