G. David
Robertson is a
highly-accomplished
lawyer with over 25
years of experience. His
courtroom skills have
been widely recognized.
Mr. Robertson has
conducted nearly 100
trials with a success
rate of over 90%, and
has obtained many jury
verdicts over One
Million Dollars. Indeed,
Mr. Robertson’s very
first jury trial in 1986
resulted in a $1.3
Million verdict for his
client, which was upheld
on appeal. Mr. Robertson
also recently received a
jury verdict in excess
of Fifteen Million
Dollars, which amount
was paid in full without
appeal.
Mr.
Robertson’s legal career
also involves a
substantial public
service commitment. He
has frequently served as
a pro tem judge (1988 -
present) and has been
appointed to numerous
political and legal
committees including the
Nevada Natural Resources
Committee (2006 -
present), the Nevada
State Bar Disciplinary
Committee (2005 -
present), the Nevada
State Bar Lawyer
Referral and Information
Service (2004 -
present), the Washoe
County Bar Association
Technology Committee
(Chairman 1997 - 2000),
and the State of Nevada
Standing Committee on
Judicial Ethics and
Election Practices (2008
- present). He currently
sits as a director on
several corporate boards
for aircraft-related
companies and the Squaw
Valley Ski Corporation,
which owns and operates
the world’s largest
privately-owned ski
resort (Squaw Valley,
U.S.A.). He has also
received multiple awards
for his volunteer work
with non-profit
organizations, including
service for two local
churches.
Mr.
Robertson began his
legal career by
graduating from law
school with honors. He
published a law review
article regarding a
controversial
water-related treaty. He
was then chosen from
hundreds of applicants
to be a law clerk for
the Honorable Bruce R.
Thompson, Senior United
States Federal District
Judge for the District
of Nevada (1983-1985).
While
clerking for Judge
Thompson, Mr. Robertson
gained additional
expertise in
water-related issues,
including Truckee and
Carson River water
rights, due to Judge
Thompson overseeing the
Orr Ditch Decree and
preparing the Alpine
Decree. As a result, Mr.
Robertson is now widely
recognized as an
experienced water rights
practitioner who
frequently appears
before the Nevada State
Engineer’s Office, the
Nevada State District
Courts, the Federal
District Courts and the
9th Circuit
Court of Appeals in
water-related matters.
Although
Mr. Robertson normally
represents businesses
and corporations, he
particularly enjoys
representation in his
areas of personal
interest. For example,
as an airplane and
helicopter pilot, Mr.
Robertson has a keen
interest in aviation and
has represented numerous
parties relating to
aircraft matters. In
addition, Mr. Robertson
is also a member of a
national organization
that encourages safe
motorcycle riding. As a
result, Mr. Robertson
has represented many
motorcyclists who have
been injured by the
negligence of others.
Mr.
Robertson is a member in
good standing of the

Association, American
Association for Justice,
Western Trial Lawyers
Association, Nevada
Justice Association,
California Bar
Association, Nevada Bar
Association,
Tahoe-Truckee Bar

Mr.
Robertson is married
with three grown
children.
Mr.
Robertson was appointed
to the Standing
Committee by the State
Bar of Nevada in January
2009; reappointed in
2011 and his term expires
December 2012.
